Nightshift Workspace Agents — Privacy Policy
Nightshift Workspace Agents supports the operator's personal file and document workflows using Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides. This policy describes this automation setup.
Data accessed and purpose
With Google authorization, the tools can access basic account identity information, file metadata and the contents of files in Google Drive, as well as documents, spreadsheets and presentations. They can read, create, edit, organize and delete files when instructed by the account owner. Access is used to complete the tasks requested by the account owner.
Local tools and AI processing
The command-line tools run on computers controlled by the account owner. If an AI agent is used for a task, the selected file content and task instructions may be supplied to the AI service chosen by the account owner.
The operator must configure any chosen AI service so that Google user data is used only to fulfill the requested task, is not sold or used for advertising, and is not used to train general-purpose AI models. The operator must review that service's privacy and retention settings and use configurations compatible with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Storage and retention
Original files remain in Google Workspace unless the account owner requests a change. OAuth credentials are stored by the tools on the owner's devices; gws encrypts its local credentials. Local file copies, agent conversations and logs may be retained by the owner's tools or chosen AI service according to their settings. The account owner manages retention and deletion in those systems.
Control and revocation
The account owner can revoke the application's access in Google Account connections, sign out of the tools, and remove locally stored credentials. Revoking access stops future API access; local copies and records already created must be deleted separately. Contact the operator for questions or assistance.
